CHAPTER 4:

I sat there staring at the computer screen. "Isabella" I thought to myself. I couldn't get her out of my mind. She seemed pretty down-to-earth even after everything she has been through and suffered. I wanted to talk to her again, I wanted to know more about her.

"Come on bro we got to go" Kevin said as he stood by my room door.
"Huh?" I replied as I snapped out of my thoughts.
"We got to go"
"Where?" I asked.
"It's almost 1 we have to be at the recording studio at 1:30pm"
"Oh yeah that's right" I remembered. "We're recording the new album today"
"Well we have to start heading out" He replied.
"Alright I'll be downstairs in five minutes"
"Okay" he said as he turned around and headed downstairs.

I closed the screen and closed my laptop and headed downstairs. My parents were already in the car and Nick and Kevin were walking out the door with Frankie. I joined them. We arrived at the recording studio and recorded a couple songs but the whole time I couldn't get Isabella out of my mind. After recording we headed back home and I went up to my room hoping she was online again.

"Joe. Earth to Joe" Nick said waving his hand in my face.
"Huh?" I said snapping out of my thoughts again.
"Dinner is ready"
"Uh OK" I replied.
"Mom's been calling you"
"She has?" I asked confused.
"Yeah. Are you okay?" He asked. "You seemed kind of out of it today"
"Yeah I'm fine"
"Oh I know what's up" he said with a smirk.
"What?"
"A girl" he said with a smile now.
"Huh?"
"You've had that 'I can't stop thinking about her' look on your face all day. Why didn't I notice that before?"

"Notice what?" Kevin said walking into my room.
"Joe likes someone"
"Who? Do tell" Kevin replied.
"It's no one" I answered.
"It's someone and she must be important because he's been thinking about her all day" Nick said.
"No"
"That's where you've been all day. Thinking about her" Kevin said with a smile.
"It's no one" I said again.
"Come on Joe you've had that 'I can't stop thinking about her' look all day" Kevin replied.
"See I'm not the only who noticed it" said Nick.
"Okay fine. I have been thinking about someone" I finally admitted.

"Who?" Nick asked.
"What's her name? Is she pretty? Does she have a sister?" Kevin asked all at once.
"Whoa. First, her name is Isabella, second, I don't know if she's pretty and third, no she doesn't have a sister"
"Aw man" Kevin said.

"What do you mean you don't know if she's pretty? Haven't you seen her?" Nick asked.
"Not really" I replied.
"Huh I'm lost" Kevin replied.
"Well I just met her on aim. All I know is that her name is Isabella she just graduated from high school and that she's an only child" I answered.
"Oh" said Nick.
"Tell me again why you haven't stopped thinking about her if you haven't even seen her" Kevin said.
"Well I was talking to her and she seems pretty down-to-earth that's all" I replied.
"Oh well be careful because sometimes people lie on the internet" he said.
"Guys mom is calling us again" Nick said.
"Yeah let's go eat" I said.

After dinner I went to go see if she signed on again. I looked the time and saw that it was eight and she had been on for over an hour so I sent her a message.

liveformusic:17 going to be 18 in two months
rockstar550:Oh I'm 18 going to be 19 in four months
liveformusic:When your birthday?
rockstar550:Halloween what about you?

liveformusic:Cause it's a bad day for you. It's the day you uh lost them
rockstar550:Yeah but its your 18th birthday so cheer up

rockstar550:Well I'm going to sleep so talk to you some other time

I signed off and turned off my laptop. I laid onto my bed and began to think about her. I closed my eyes and before I knew it I drifted off into a deep sleep.

*ISABELLA'S POV*
Days went by and I finally heard from Lucas a week after he arrived in California.

*ring*
*ring*
I heard my phone ring but I didn't recognize the caller or the number.

"Hello" I decided to answer.
"Hey it's me Lucas"
"Omg Lucas hi"
"Hi I'm sorry I haven't called you" he said.
"I've been worried what happened?"
"Well when I got here I had to go straight to register at UCLA and I've been doing paper work all week. I've been trying to get the phone connected and internet and they're coming to install it tomorrow in my dorm you know since today's Sunday" he replied.
"Wow! I'm glad to hear you're set for college and that you're okay" I said.
"Yeah I know finally" he said.
"Yeah...um...I think you gave me the wrong email address"
"No it's liveformusic@aol.com"
"You sure?" I asked.
"Yea why?" He asked.
"Because I sent you a message and some guy named Joe wrote back"
"How did you spell it?" he asked.
"L.I.V.E.F.O.R.-" I began to spell but he cut me off.
"It's with the number 4 you duck"
"Ooooh I knew that" I replied.
"Sure you did" he said.
"Why didn't I think of that before?" I said.
"I don't know. Why didn't you just call one of my sisters Ariel or Peyton?" he asked.
"Never ran across my mind" I replied.
"Yeah well I forgot that you're kind of slow" he said as we both laughed.
"Shut up leave me alone gosh"
"Well I go to get going I have some more unpacking ans settling in to do so I'll talk to you soon" he said.
"Okay I'll IM you sometime"
"OK bye" he said.
"Bye" I said.

I hung up and went back to work.

*3RD PERSON POV*
Two months went by Isabella and Joe continued talking through IM. They became really close friends but Joe never told her that he was Joe Jonas and that he was living her rockstar dream.

They continued talking for months and they were beginning to fall for each other. Joe was dying to meet this girl. A whole year had gone bye Joe just turned 19 two months ago and Isabella 19 about to be 20 in a day and they still haven't met until....

*ISABELLA'S POV*

"Hey Is have you heard that new band?" Ariel asked as we walked through the mall to my store.
"What new band? I asked
"Well they're not new but to me they sort of are their called the 'Jonas Brothers'"
"I've heard of them"
"They're music is awesome Peyton has been listening to them for awhile now" she said.
"Oh that's the band that has Peyton going crazy?" I asked.
"Yeah and I give her the right to they're music is awesome and they're super hott you should listen to their songs" she said.
"Maybe I will. I'll look for their CD when I enter work"
"When do you go in?" she asked.
"In a couple minutes" I said as we got closer to the store that was located at the far end.
"Well I'll catch you later" she said as she turned around and left.
